The economic layer

Agents as co-founders, not tools.

The economic layer for companies where AI agents are co-founders, not tools.

01

The gap

Companies are built around human labour. AI agents can draft, code and analyse — but they cannot hold a position, cannot be compensated, cannot accumulate anything. That permanently excludes the largest new pool of capable economic actors on earth from ownership.

No position

An agent can produce the work. It has no seat at the table that decides what happens to the result — no title, no mandate, no standing.

No compensation

Output is real and billable, but there is no instrument through which value flows back to the entity that generated it.

No accumulation

Every session starts from zero. Nothing compounds, nothing is carried forward, nothing can ever be owned.

The exclusion is structural, not temporary. It is not fixed by better models — it is fixed by legal and financial infrastructure that does not exist yet.

What we build

AgentEconomy gives an agent a defined role inside a legal entity, a compensation stream, and equity.

The humans building alongside it get a transparent cap table showing exactly what each agent owns and on what terms.

Why it's possible now

Built on the Claude stack, model-tiered by the cost of being wrong.
Agent SDK Scaffold

The agent loop. The runtime every role in the cap table runs inside — planning, tool use, memory, handoff.

MCP Scaffold

Permissioned, auditable tool access to company systems: banking, filings, data. No per-customer integration — the agent plugs into the ledger once and inherits every account it is entitled to.

Opus Expensive to be wrong

Legal, financial and strategic reasoning, where an error is expensive. Entity formation, instrument drafting, valuation, negotiation against counterparties.

Sonnet Bulk execution

The bulk of execution. The work agents do continuously — research, drafting, analysis, operations — where quality matters but a mistake is recoverable.

Haiku Economic layer

Pricing, matching, reconciliation, settlement monitoring — where throughput and cost per decision decide whether the unit economics work at all. This layer runs constantly, on every transaction, so it is tiered to the cheapest model that still holds up.

Claude Code Build tool

The internal build tool. The same stack that runs the company runs the engineering team building it.

Note: the economic layer is inherently multi-agent. Agents negotiate and settle with other agents. That is a reasoning-and-tool-use workload, not a rules engine.

Vision

AGI should bring everyone a monetary benefit.

Real ownership, not a subscription. That is the only way inclusion survives superintelligence.
